Through her humor, patience, and kindness, she goes above and beyond to get to know each child and make them feel heard, valued, and cared for. This is especially invaluable when a student is struggling. Mrs. Tudino meets her students where they are and provides the support and encouragement they need to grow. That approach was incredibly motivating for my daughter. She knew Mrs. Tudino believed in her and wanted her to succeed, which made all the difference. Alyssa came into our son's life when he transitioned to sixth grade with an IEP. She didn't just see his academic challenges, but she took the time to understand who he was as a person and learner. Her compassion, patience, and dedication quite literally changed the trajectory of our son's life. Alyssa is also incredibly intuitive. She's like a detective and if something isn't working or a child shows signs of frustration or distress, she doesn't accept the status quo. She digs deeper, asks questions, and works tirelessly to find the root of the issue and the right solution for that individual child. Although her expertise is with middle school students, her skills extend far beyond that. She also worked with our older son, helping him strengthen his reading and writing skills and guiding him through the college essay process with the same level of care. Also, I have seen her work with children as young as the preschool level and she has an extraordinary gift for connecting with children of all ages. Alyssa’s knowledge of special education and her ability to collaborate with families is truly exceptional. She can review IEPs, suggest meaningful accommodations and modifications, and offer practical solutions tailored to a child’s needs.
